iOS 26 will be able to automatically adjust app icon colors to match the color of your phone case.
The option to apply a unified monochrome style to all icons and widgets debuted a year ago with iOS 18. Now, the system can automatically adjust colors to match your chosen accessories.
Julia Clover from MacRumors spotted a new feature in the final beta of iOS 26. After placing her iPhone in an official Apple case, she noticed a new button in the Home Screen settings that lets users instantly adjust the system’s color scheme to match either the case or the device itself.
Will this feature work with third-party accessories? That seems unlikely – after all, those new TechWoven cases won’t sell themselves. Most users with non-official cases will probably need to adjust their color palette manually.
